There is something magical about the farmer’s market for me. It’s full of so many bright colors, fresh smells and excitement. I love walking around the booths looking at all the offered foods and the colorful people. My husband and I made a trip last Sunday to the Nashville farmer’s market to pick up some produce, including the 25lbs of tomatoes I needed for canning marinara. I will be posting on that tomorrow.
I also picked up some okra, cucumbers, blueberries and an eggplant. I’ve never had eggplant before, but these were so beautiful I couldn’t help myself. I will be looking for eggplant recipes to give it a try.
